There Is Nothing Magical In Latter-day Saint Theology.

A common characterization of Christian beliefs is that they are based on enchantment or magic that may require special justification. However, this is far from the truth. Latter-day Saint beliefs are devoid of any magical essence and are instead more appropriately understood in the context of continuing social and technological advancement.

Latter-day Saint faith is rooted in the recognition that we stand upon the shoulders of God who has preceded us. Believing that we are not the first to navigate life holds no magical connotations but rather acknowledges the continuity of human existence and our place within it.

Moreover, our beliefs encompass the understanding that God who has gone before us possess profound knowledge and advanced technological capabilities that might appear miraculous. Yet, there is nothing magical about embracing the notion of our predecessors’ extraordinary achievements. Furthermore, our beliefs entail a desire to emulate the qualities and values of God who has blazed a trail before us. Aspiring to be like Him.

Therefore, there is no enchantment or mysticism to be found in Latter-day Saint beliefs, but rather a profound appreciation for the enduring legacy of God who has gone before us, and our potential to be like Him.
